Pi Tau Sigma
Pi Tau Sigma is a Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, instituted in order to establish a closer bond of fellowship among its members which will result in mutual benefit to those men and women in the study and in the profession of mechanical engineering. Dearborn Campus Engineers
Dearborn Campus Engineers was established in 1961 to provide a strong social and academic environment for University of Michigan-Dearborn Engineering students. Today, we are the oldest and largest organization on campus, and have members from all colleges within the University, as well as other local colleges and universities. Members receive discounts on DCE social events such as Sccop 'N Shoot and trips to the movies. We host on-campus events as well, such as Euchre Tournaments and Movie Nights. Members also have access to our archive of old test files. The cost to join is $5 for new members, and $1 per semester to renew. We also have a variety of snacks and beverages for sale. National Society of Black Engineers
Mission Statement: To increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community. New and innovative project ideas are generated and implemented throughout the year on the chapter, regional and national levels. Some of NSBE's present activities include tutorial programs, group study sessions, high school/junior high outreach programs, technical seminars and workshops, a national communications network (NSBENET), two national magazines (NSBE Magazine and the NSBE Bridge), an internal newsletter, a professional newsletter (The Career Engineer, a supplement in the NSBE Magazine), resume books, career fairs, awards, banquets and an annual national convention. Biomedical Engineering Society
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is an interdisciplinary national society in response to a manifest need to provide a society that would represent both biomedical and engineering interests. The ongoing vision of the Society is to be recognized as the preeminent professional society for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. The Society's mission is to provide value to its members and other constituencies by promoting the increase and utilization of biomedical engineering and bioengineering knowledge and by working for the advancement of the profession. The Biomedical Engineering Society Chapter at the University of Michigan Dearborn is one of the hundred other chapters around the country, and was founded in October of 2011.
